Villagómez Grupo Inmobiliario (VGI) focuses on the investment of real estate portfolios with a high equity to cost ratio in New York City, one of the most important “barrier to entry” markets of the United States. Barrier to entry markets’ are principally identified by the limited available supply of inventory in direct correlation to high market demand. The core market consists of the five boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and the Bronx. VGI’s acquisitions include commercial properties, single family homes, condominiums, co-operatives, multi-family homes and/or mixed-use properties.

Immobile investment, such as gold, oil, or any other such commodity is a safe haven asset because of its tangibility, real property’s intrinsic value. Unlike gold or other such commodities, this investment is not likely to be stolen, and one does not have to pay expensive storage fees which significantly cut into one’s profits. The thought of a stolen commodity may sound preposterous, but prior to 2008, the thought of bankruptcy hitting almost every major bank, or major banks needing a bailout would also seem preposterous.

Like a blue chip, so is the stability of acquiring the security of a safe haven investment. Unlike the purchase of a stock investment, a blue chip company can go bankrupt, as Lehman Brothers did. The value of fiat money, or stock, can in fact fall to zero, but the value of any tangible (safe haven) asset can never fall to zero.

Insurance coverage adds security to an immobile investment such as real property, even if the improvements were to be are vandalized, stolen or destroyed, land will always exist. One’s nest-egg is well protected.

The tangibility of safe haven investments is the reason they preserve wealth during times of financial and economic crises. With the strategic approach of VGI, one not only preserves wealth, but enhances it.

Other than top market making investors whose strategies reflect changes in market markers, amongst other important variables; the strategy of those who invest in company stocks and/or commodities is mostly based on public opinion. VGI understands that real estate investment is sometimes based on speculation, however, key barrier to entry markets are based on supply and demand. Neither corporations, mass produced energy, retail goods, technology, nor banking are needs. Shelter, on the other hand, is a necessity. Since the beginning of time there has always been value in a safe haven, even if such place was a cave.
