Mr. Villagómez took his business acumen and extensive negotiating skills to the world of finance and real estate. Having acquired his license in 2004 and working as a real estate professional, Mr. Villagómez started Oasis Group Realty LLC and created marketing strategies for entire new construction developments, thus assisting in the sale of approximately 100 condominiums. Mr. Villagómez further established a network of reliable and trustworthy lenders and attorneys that made him the fastest closer and the top earning agent in his broker’s office.
Of special note, Mr. Villagómez generated much business for many lenders, not one of the loans he helped accommodate, was an Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM), which is inherently a predatory loan for unsophisticated buyers. With exceptional customer service and always serving his clients’ needs, Mr. Villagómez has earned their loyalty and support. This was demonstrated by the generating of 25% referrals, receipt of much heartfelt appreciation, and displayed many times by means of letters thanking him for his help in what was a confusing and dangerous market.
2001-2004 Boston, MassachusettsMr. Villagómez helped launch a new jewelry store chain, raised sales by 25% in the first year by revising and effecting store policy, training staff, and improving sales and customer service. The company grew by 30% per year thereafter, in an industry where one in three stores goes out of business within the first year.
1996-2001 North, Central and South AmericaMr. Villagómez was born and raised in New York City and traveled extensively throughout North, Central and South America studying different nationalities, dialects and human behavior. During his travels, Mr. Villagómez resided in many barrier to entry cities in the United States and abroad.
A great majority of Mr. Villagómez’ time was spent in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. His experiences have made him familiar with the many different cultures and dialects. Mr. Villagómez honed his skills as a mediator, organizer, negotiator and leader amongst people of different cultures, dialects, beliefs and agendas.
1990-1995 Villagómez Gildworks - Columbia, South CarolinaAs a fourth generation artisan, Mr. Villagómez was introduced to high-end furniture manufacturing. He learned the different plastic arts first as a lifelong apprentice to a master craftsman, his late Father and third generation artisan Jose Antonio Villagómez.
In 1992 Mr. Villagómez apprenticed under yet another master artisan, the late cabinetmaker Charles Michael Craig and former proprietor of M. Craig & Company. Mr. Villagómez expanded his furniture company with representatives in Atlanta, GA, Miami, FL and Vail, CO. Mr. Villagómez’ clients included I. Pinckney Simons Gallery, M. Craig & Company, Ainsworth Noah, Jerry Pair and other well known names often seen in Architectural Digest and Veranda magazines.
Villagómez Gildworks’ manufacturing expanded from South Carolina to South America, importing high-end manufactured furniture and accessories. Mr. Villagómez sold his company in 1995.
